Protected by a body of swords, the Stoic balances on earth defying gravity’s pull. Each spine is hand coated in layers of urushi lacquer, curing harder over time to echo its exoskeleton as the “perfect armor”. This sculpture rests on obsidian, a stone mankind once used for defense and a modern amulet of protection. The two unite resembling its natural form, but is forever embalmed as a force to be reckoned with.
